Meet and put in at Woodson K. Woods Conservation Area Access, of Hwty 8 south of St. James, MO.   We will paddle nine miles to Scotts Ford Access.  Trip is suitable for all watercraft and is appropriate for paddlers of all skill levels.

 Bring lunch and drinks (non-alcoholic) for on the water.  At the conclusion of the float, we will meet at Missouri Hick BBQ for dinner on the way home.  Meal is at the participant's expense.  Missouri Hick BBQ is located on the I-44 outer road east of Cuba, MO.

This river is a slow-moving stream with occasional swifts and riffles and is suitable for all skill levels and all boat types.  Class I stream.  We will float past Maramec Springs Park where trout fishing is king. The river flows through bottomlands, farms and some public land.  It is a popular stream so be prepared for some crowds and all that entails.  Be sure to pack sunscreen, hat, eyeglass retainers, paddles, cooler, lunch, snacks, beverages and appropriate river footwear.
